NicholsBooth Architects adds creative and operations talent
We are excited to announce the hire of four new staff members. (Clockwise from top left) Designers Sashi Murthy, Jeffrey Ypon, Dafer Haddadin, and Sr. Project Accountant Petch Somsakul will support NicholsBooth’s growing office and the firm’s commitment to great design and project delivery.
“We are passionate about applying creativity in all forms – from seeing design challenges in new ways, to producing big ideas that work,” says CEO Gary Nichols. “These new members of our team will further support our passion for well-designed spaces with a culture of working together to get things done right”.
Sashi is that woman you see riding her single-speed bike (which she built herself, by the way) and musing on the design inspiration she gets from her world travels. When she’s among the NicholsBooth tribe, she is involved in all phases of the design and construction process, from client presentations to construction administration and everything in between. We love her commitment to good design for any budget and her attention to detail.
We have seen the future, and it definitely includes Jeffrey. One of those rare creatures who is both supremely artistic and breathtakingly organized, Jeffrey makes sure his work is both beautiful and precise, which makes everyone’s job that much easier. Born into a family where the creativity never stops, he draws inspiration from movie cinematography and interiors. Ask him what’s fun at work and he’ll throw out programs like 3ds Max, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Although fluent in two languages, Dafer lets his work do the talking. He combines strong conceptual thinking skills with a mastery of Revit, Photoshop, Sketchup, and hand drawing to provide design solutions for our happy clients. His international experience includes working in Amman, Jordan and Dubai, UAE on large-scale retail and mixed-use master planning projects. Dafer’s many talents also include architectural photography.
Petch tells us she loves dealing with numbers, but we know her success comes from the expert way she deals with people to get the information she needs. A big believer in teamwork, she knows how to get us all to act like a team. We’re jealous because, being from Thailand, she has a head-turning collection of shoes she adds to every year on her trips there.
